No SmokingCoyote Corner is an historic place in the hearts of the locals. Originally built as a cabin, then added on 40 years ago by Larry Higbee, who was one of the original folks who helped convert Winthrop from a sleepy, poor, backwoods town to a ‘tourist destination’ when the highway opened up in 1974. Larry’s son was a brick mason, so, of course, the house got ‘bricked up’. The original two car garage has been added onto at least 3 times, and as it rambles around, the previous owner added a coyote up in the top of the garage, that they had traded for some beer when they owned the Carlton Store....but I digress.
This is a roomy 3-bedroom, 2-bath home with an extra ‘TV’ room that has a Queen hideabed. There is an amazing, lush tree out front with a hidden fort.
The kitchen is charming, and the dining room is spacious. It is a comfortable home from which guests can walk to everything in Winthrop... and it’s not far to drive or bike to Pearrygin Lake. The house is pet-friendly.
The owners are often upgrading the house, and we will try to update the photos. Storage for bikes and outdoor gear is available. Make this your “home away from home”.
