Sleeps 2-6, Max Occupancy: 8
There's Grand, and there's Glorious, and this house is that! Charming Artistic, and Beautious. (yes, we know that's not a word but it should be)
This fine home was built in 2018 with the scale of a mountain lodge, using trees from the land mixed with rustic accents. The vaulted-ceiling living room looks north towards Goat Peak, and has double doors that lead to a fine summer deck. There is also a cozy window seat that allows one to savor a good book or nap. (the owner's favorite spot). A large river-stone fireplace, which is the heart and warmth of the home, separates the living room from the kitchen and dining area. Gather in the living room to appreciate the view, or at the family table, all the while enjoying the glow of the 2-way fire. .
There is a food-lovers kitchen with an island that sits on on the other side of the fireplace, with the kitchen looking to the south and the back yard-a wonderful sunny summer sitting spot. It is fully equipped, with a gas 6-burner stove and gas oven, plus electric convection oven. Just off this kitchen/dining area is a wondrous covered screen porch with hanging bed-just right for summer nights or afternoon lounging.
A main floor queen bedroom has it's own bathroom with steam shower and bidet. Climb the stairs and you will find a lofted hallway, with an inviting reading area along with 2 bedrooms (full and queen). Basement has a Media Room with smart TV, as well as Game Room, with table tennis, air hockey, darts, and family board games.
Besides the fireplace, there is in-floor radiant heating. The internet is strong. Ski and sports trails are close, with a walk or bike ride to Mazama about 2 miles away. Not a bad place to spend a couple days, all things considered.
The owners are at the home much of the time and, as such, a variety of personal items are there. This may not be a small-child-friendly house.
