"MillerPlace", is a hand built home located approximately 4 miles up a gravel-and-dirt road. This cozy handmade 2-story was built by the owner's family in the late 70's of salvaged logs from a fire that burned long ago in the forest nearby. Nestled amongst trees, yet with a view of nearby mountain tops, it is a quiet environment with a great deal of wildlife passing through the 20 acre property. The owner appreciates the good fortune to enjoy the wonder of nature on these quiet grounds, and hopes that guests will as well.

The kitchen is really the heart of the house. In fact, the kitchen was originally the entire cabin, that the present house was built around. It has a large 6 burner propane stove, a double vintage farm style sink, a vintage wood chopping block, and plenty of tile counter space with 4 chairs.

The living room is a light-filled carpeted space with large southwest facing windows, a gorgeous large stained glass window above that allows passive solar gain in the winter months when the leaves are off the shade trees positioned outside the windows. The living room has a library area with a built in couch for reading and relaxing.

There is a guest room on the main floor, that serves as the TV room and has a saltillo tiled floor, with a queen bed. It has a private bathroom with shower.

Upstairs is a sleeping loft with a Queen bed located within the bay window. The room is a simple, carpeted room, with a vast view of the grounds, and a perfect vantage point to watch it snow as you fall asleep.

There is an additional upstairs bedroom, carpeted, with an extra long twin bed. The bathroom upstairs has a gorgeous vintage clawfoot tub.

There is a propane heating stove with 3 sided flame viewing in the living room, and a heat pump that keeps an even temperature in the heart of the house. There are additional electric heaters where needed. There is good internet service through our local company, Methownet.

Pets are not allowed due to the abundant wildlife that frequents the property, such as Deer, Cougar, Ermine, Birds

The house is available December 2022, January, and February 2023, for a minimum of 30 days. Snow: There can be heavy snowfall at this elevation (2900') and all neighbors want to have driveways plowed out as soon as possible. Trust that you will be plowed out without needing to call. It is essential that you have an all-wheel-drive vehicle and studded tires to insure that you can maneuver the long driveway.

Shoveling Snow: Depending on how winter happens, shoveling is best done after each snowfall....which tenants are responsible to do.
