Sleeps 1-4, Max Occupancy: 4
This is the family cabin. Always has been for the last several years. Winter skiing and summer swimming. Located on 36 acres, on land that fronts to the Methow River, just upstream from the Weeman Bridge-about 12 miles from Winthrop, and 6 from Mazama. There is a large 13-acre hay field that separates it from the highway, and also allows for southern light. Behind that are the woods and trails, located on the 100-year flood plain of the river. It is a 300-yard walk to the river and its own private water-front. And THE METHOW SKI TRAIL RUNS RIGHT THROUGH THE PROPERTY, just out front.
This is a "Panabode Log House', which was a popular style in the 60s and 70s, when this was originally built. It is a bit small, compared to today's bloated standards, but perfectly suited for up to 4 persons. Two bedrooms, both with queen beds. One 3/4 bath. A cabin in the woods. Electric heat.
Just next to the house is a newly built wood-fired sauna, which the owners are willing to share with you. There will be printed instructions. Please be considerate. In winter there is a plow service that does the driveway, but snow shoveling to the door will be the guest's responsibility. There is winter parking in a covered carport, as well as a ski waxing station.
