Kitchen has all new stainless-steel appliances including full-size fridge with pull-out freezer and chef’s gas stove and oven, with a convection baking option. It is, as much, a house as a work of industrial art. The house is built around a large concrete water-way, which was originally part of the Winthrop water supply. Next door, you can easily traverse the Chewuch river on a walking suspension bridge which takes you on a riverwalk through 13 acres of open space.

The Purple Sage building, in downtown Winthrop, is located next to Winthrop's new riverfront park, and backs up to the confluence of the Methow, and Chewuch rivers. There are two complete apartment suites, each with full kitchens, and both oriented to the river, and facing southwest.

The Boardwalk apartment is a near-ground-floor one-bedroom suite. Recently remodeled, and full of charm... Park Place, is located on the second floor with a deck that overlooks the park and river.

River Nest is a hand built 2 bedroom 2 bath jewel perched on the Methow River in Winthrop. Located about 1/4 mile below the bridge, and on the Methow River, with it's face to the river(No River Access), and it's back to the living roof, and the road. Located on the upper edge of the Town of Winthrop, on the high-bank of the Chewuch River, is Tom's Mom's house-Emma's House. Built in the 60's. It is a 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom rambler, with enough room to stretch out. Lots of light, with large windows that face east, south, and west. There is a patio out back that looks over the river gorge, at tree-top level....a picnic table, barbecue, and outdoor seating. There is room for your horse trailers, or snowmobile trailers to park, and it is an easy stroll to the old west Winthrop boardwalk shops and eateries. Not too much further up the road is the turn off to Pearrygin Lake.

Nestled amongst our native ponderosa pines, this spacious, light filled 3-bedroom and 2 ½ baths condominium offers comfort and amenities of home. All bedrooms are on the second floor. The large king-bed master suite has a 2-sink bathroom and AC unit. The two queen rooms share a bath with tub. An additional half bath is downstairs. Each bedroom has its own ceiling fan.

The fully equipped kitchen might entice you to stay put and cook since the Thriftway grocery store is down the hill, though the couple of fine restaurants also within walking distance may dissuade you. As you approach the house, there is ample parking for at least three vehicles. The front entrance is covered for snow in the winter and sun in the summer. This fine home is a newly constructed, modern, Northwest-facing, view-filled, hillside home located just above the Winthrop environs.
