No SmokingKUL Cabin takes its name from the Catholic University of Lublin (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski – KUL) in Poland, where all four owners studied before life brought them to the Pacific Northwest. The cabin reflects their shared friendship and love of nature.
The original portion of the cabin dates back to the late 1870s. It was carefully relocated from the Cascade Mountains and preserved as the heart of the home. A spacious newer addition was later built, seamlessly blending historic charm with modern comfort. The addition includes a large garage designed to accommodate a trailer, meeting the previous owners’ needs during their outdoor adventures. The cabin comfortably accommodates up to six guests, with two private bedrooms featuring queen beds, a cozy loft with two twin beds, and one full bathroom.
One of the cabin’s most unique features is the original log structure. The thick historic timbers naturally keep the cabin wonderfully cool during the warm summer months while providing exceptional warmth and cozziness throughout the winter—just as authentic mountain cabins have done for generations.Whether you’re hiking, biking, skiing, or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, KUL Cabin offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the Methow Valley while staying in a home filled with history, character, and warmth.
