Little Bear is a 3 bedroom cabin located along the Susie Stephens multi-use trail in a quiet cul-de-sac with mountain views. It's a short walk or ski to the Winthrop Ice Rink and Town Trailhead, or a 15 minute walk to the center of Winthrop.

For skiers, there is a heated waxing shed, which doubles as lockable storage for up to about 5-6 bikes. There's also a 50 amp outdoor receptacle for EV charging -- plug in and rest easy.

Furnishings and decorations include the work of local artisans. The house is cozy enough for a couple, but nicely laid out and furnished so that 6 people won't feel crowded. The kitchen is a cook's delight, and the dining nook makes shared dinners a joy.

The house does not have air conditioning, but swamp coolers are provided on both floors to help keep things comfortable in the summer months when you're not relaxing on the front porch in one of the Adirondack chairs.

Entertainment provided by the local deer, eagle and wild turkey populations! There is no TV monitor, although WiFi and a small Bluetooth speaker are provided if you wish to bring your own device.

Stayed with my partner, our 18 month old, and my partner's parents. Great location, close to the main drag, short walk to the grocery store, and right on the bike path. The house was well equipped, clean, and easy to get into. We especially loved the porch and the dog friendly touches!

This was our second time staying at the Little Bear Cabin and it was just as wonderful as the first trip two years ago. The cabin is a modest size but well equipped with everything that a winter cabin needs—from an ample kitchen to a fire place to hooks and cubbies everywhere to hang and store your ski gear. It's within walking distance to the ski rink and downtown. Also abuts an XC ski trail that connects with the the greater ski trail system of dozens of XC miles. We ate at the Arrowleaf Bistro, which is also within walking distance, and was excellent. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be back!

This cabin was perfect-walkable to the downtown but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The 14-50 nema outlet for EV charging was perfect! We’ve relied on public EV charging in Winthrop in the past and it’s not worth the stress, having charging onsite is a must have for us now. We loved our stay, our dog loved the place too. We will definitely come back to stay at little bear when we are in Winthrop again.
