This is an original 1920 Winthrop house. When it was built there was a dirt road in front, and the river just beyond. For the last 30 years it has been a Chiropractic office....and now recently carefully renovated to be a 2 bedroom, 1 bath nightly rental...with easy ski trail access...walk to the Susie Stephens Trail, and everything else Winthrop. Very convenient...close to Winthrop's new library, the Barnyard Cinema, our outdoor refrigerated ice rink (the only one in Washington) and our local eateries.

Like a lot of old farm houses, you enter the house from the back porch and the kitchen. The living room and dining area are 'out front'. A King bedroom, a Queen bedroom, and bath are just off the living room. The furnishings are comfortable as well as charming. The kitchen has old fashioned charm and is cozy and welcoming. Well behaved pets are welcome.

It was great being so close to the East 20 Pizza and the EV charger in their parking lot. We also loved the ultra-fuzzy blankets everywhere. The brooms by the outside doors were genius to keep the driveway grit out of the house. After two nights, our friend declared he was going mattress shopping first thing when we got home on account of how comfy the beds were. 5-stars.

Spacious, warm, and very clean. Comfortable bed. Towels and linens were nice. Appreciated the delicious local coffee that was supplied. Location is central to local services including grocery, restaurants, Barnyard Cinema, and Winthrop ski trailhead. Kitchen supplies (pots, pans, and other cooking utensils) and cleaning items were fairly minimal, particularly if one is cooking for more than 2 people. Appreciated the heater fan in the bathroom and the crockery and silverware in the kitchen. Enjoyed large dining table and spacious, colorfully decorated living room.

What a perfect spot to explore downtown Winthrop. Our stay was punctuated by an incredible cold spell and being so close to restaurants, the hockey rink, and other downtown amenities was crucial for staying warm while still having a good time. Their house had everything we needed and when our truck acted up in the cold, they were flexible and helpful. And their communication was always prompt and thorough. Will definitely stay here again!

There was plenty of space and seating. Beds comfy, lots of blankets, big mud room. Had most amenities needed while still maintaining the charm of a 1920s home, including the floor topography similar to the surrounding mountains. :-D
