This 1895 historic building built for the Town of Winthrop’s founder, Guy Waring, has been recently remodeled to provide stylish comfort for overnight guests. Located on the boardwalk in down town Winthrop, you are within walking distance to restaurants, boutiques, gift shopping, wine bars, taprooms and more. The building has two nightly-rental accommodations: the Rendezvous Suite and Savoy Suite.
The Rendezvous Suite is a two-bedroom apartment, that has a private entrance to the second and third floors of the rear addition to the historic Guy Waring building. The living area, kitchen, and bath are on the 'main' second-story floor, while sleeping accommodations are upstairs, and include a private bedroom with a queen size bed, and a separate dormer nook with a twin bed. Sleeps 3. Entertainment areas include a living room with a big screen smart TV, a full kitchen for all your gourmet needs, and an outside deck. Complimentary 30 Ampfast Car Charging Station
The Savoy Suite is located to the front of the building, and has a private entrance to the second floor. Accommodations include a private bedroom with a king size bed, sitting room with a big screen smart TV, and private bath with a walk-in shower. Sleeps 2. The Savoy Suite is so named because a plaque was discovered during the remodel, and "Savoy Hotel" appears to be the name of the original rooming house, where this, present, set of rooms are. Complimentary 30 Ampfast Car Charging Station
If available, both places can be rented to accommodate up to 5 persons, in downtown Winthrop. Two off-street parking places are provided.
The Savoy Suite occupies the original upstairs of the Guy Waring Guest House. It is located above the street-level commercial space, which has been a printing shop, a western store, a hat shop, and various other businesses over the years. The upstairs was, at one time, divided into small single rooms, with a chimney and stove for heat. It is now a generous sitting room with television, a large bedroom and wonderful bath.
The bedroom window faces south, above the Winthrop boardwalk, and is a great place for seeing the goings on of the neighbors. Additionally, there are a variety of street gatherings during the year, and the Savoy Suite allows ease of access to events like 'Christmas at the end of the road', the 'Balloon Festival', 'Thanksgiving fireworks', 'Antique car show', and it's a short walk home from the many nightly entertainment options.

The Guy Waring House, is actually an older 1895 building in front, and a more recent period-inspired addition, with a connecting door between the two halves. When you need a little more space, you can rent both, and have, in effect, a two-living-room apartment suite, with one facing to the street, and the other, the back deck. Two off-street parking spaces are provided.
