This is a local Winthrop home right in town, just above the old west boardwalk, one street up. This house was built in 1955 and retains that old mid-century charm. The upstairs bedrooms feature the ever-so-popular 50's knotty pine paneling. The living room is cozy with a coffered ceiling. The stairs are narrow and steep with a handrail. The kitchen has been modernized, but still maintains some of the sense of Grandma's house. "Out back', through the back door is a deck on the north side of the house, with picnic tables and Weber gas BBQ.

Recently, the house has been refreshed and updated. Gardens and lawns are being nurtured. Fresh paint. New furniture and beds. The whole works. The housekeeper recently told us that she used to live here 15 years ago, and her recollection was of a vegetable garden in the back yard. Perhaps that may get restored with her help. Meanwhile there is a sense of pride here.

The main floor has a shared living room and dining table. Kitchen is on the right, with a laundry area behind the kitchen and passage way to the rear. There is a larger queen bedroom and full bath on the main floor. Up the stairs are two dormer bedrooms and 3/4 bath.

We enjoyed our stay at The Wrangle Inn. Being in downtown Winthrop allowed us to easily access trails all over, rent skis, and access restaurants. The house was clean and easy to access, with parking right out front. After a few days the clouds broke and we saw we would have a distant view of some mountains too if it stayed clear. We had good communications with the property manager as well.

This home worked out great for my husband and son. My husband is disabled and said the bed was comfortable and had everything that was need for their manly getaway. My son had the upstairs with a friend and they were completely satisfied with all of their gaming devices and the wifi was perfect the whole time.

Myself and several friends were looking for a place to stay near Cutthroat Pass and we stumbled upon this AirBnB last minute. It ended up being exactly what we needed! The bedrooms are good sized and nicely spread out. The kitchen was well stocked (they have a standard Mr Coffee but we loved the french press and electric kettle!). The location in Winthrop was perfect, about 2 blocks from everything downtown and a quick drive to the larger grocery store. It was about a 30 min drive to Cutthroat Pass trailhead (the bike/hike trail). We would love to stay again in the future!
